Plugged in my monitor, keyboard, mouse and an SD card all at once and everything just worked, no drivers, no fuss. The port layout is smart enough that the cables don't fight each other, and it's small enough to toss in my bag.
I was worried about juggling adapters on the road, but this hub handles my external drive and SD card at the same time without any dropouts. The compact metal body barely takes up space in my bag, and it works with both my laptop and desktop without installing anything.
